Communities across Tennessee face problems each day that can ultimately be prevented with appropriate education and intervention by experienced and certified professionals. Credentialing facilitates standardized practice across a wide variety of settings and regulatory environments and ensures that trained, ethical professionals are available to the clients, families and communities they serve.
Founded in 2010, the Tennessee Certification Board (TCB) strives to advance the field of prevention and behavioral health as a viable and effective professional discipline to benefit Tennessee’s communities.
The mission of the Tennessee Certification Board is to establish, certify, and maintain professional credentials that verify standards of excellence.
We envision a competent workforce of certified professionals throughout Tennessee who recognize and meet the needs of the people they serve.
This project is funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
No person, on the basis of race, color, or national origin will be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any TCB program.
